Honestly, my major problems were thus:

1) Cliches and rehashing left and right. I've seen this general story a million times, and not always by Burton. And Helena Bonham Carter. STOP USING HER, TIM. GET NEW BLOOD. She's good, but now she's also stale. Also, almost-a-love-story-but-dancing-around-it-so-not-quite.

2) A lot went without any proper explanation at all. I don't think I ever even heard the Knave of Hearts referred to as such, not to mention the identity of his horse, the reason why the Red Queen is in charge, or even why they've been bringing Alice back again and again. Just something to do with having done it all before or some such.

3) The whole thing turned into this: http://www.xkcd.com/693/ . I'm sorry, but that's what it was.

Now, what I liked: Yes, Johnny Depp is getting stale, but I simply loved him as the Hatter. The Scottish accent he did gave me goosebumps!

The Cheshire Cat was also quite impressive. The design also seemed a bit off to me, but the voice acting was spectacular.

And as a giant monster buff, I just loved the design of a certain gibberish creature. And SUDDENLY CHRISTOPHER LEE! Yes. That made my day.
